Ron Hubbard’s bestselling novel, “Battlefield Earth” received the Audie Award, the highest honor bestowed by the Audio Publishers Association (APA) in the category of EXCELLENCE IN MARKETING.
Each year the APA honors the best titles in audio publishing. The presentation of the award was made at the Audio Publishers Association Audie’s awards ceremony held at the French Institute Alliance Francaise in New York City, Thursday night.
The Excellence In Marketing Audie is awarded to the audiobook and promotion campaign that contributed most to generating attention and bringing in new listeners, whether for a single title, series, or initiative. Judges considered marketing, PR, social media, store placement, innovation, creativity, and reach.
The Competition: The Audies awards competition is the only awards program in the United States devoted entirely to recognizing distinction in audiobooks and spoken word entertainment. The committee administers and ensures the integrity of the competition, coordinating the work of over 200 dedicated judges.
